Flower Stems & Leaves

Ok, finally getting around to posting this! Our anniversary was beautiful. I couldn’t be happier with my centerpieces, they came out absolutely gorgeous. Thanks to my amazing sister Daisy for making them all for me! (She’s so great, you should check out her blog:) )

Putting the leaves on them and wrapping the stems was a snap.

I think I spent more time picking out the perfect leaves then I did putting them together.
   What you need:
Floral leaves (I got mine at the dollar store. It took me forever to dig through the mess of them but it was totally worth it.)
        Tape or Hot Glue
        Floral Wire

I started by separating all my leaves. I just pulled/snip them off, very easy. Some if them have a little top/cap piece just pull it/cut it off and slide the leaves off.

Attach the leaves to the stems. I wanted some to just have one leaf. I positioned it where I wanted it and taped it in place (I used painters tape, lol it’s all I could find at the time)

Just slide on

For the flowers with 2 leaves I simply slid it onto the stem.

Time to wrap the stems. I cut a piece of floral tape about 2 inches longer then the stem. Starting at the top start wrapping  the floral tape around the stem. Pulling the tape as you do, its what mates it sticky. I like to hold the tape in one hand and twist the flower with the others.  Keep twisting until you reach the bottom then just snip off the end.
